Question Have you replaced your emblem?

Who's done this? It looks more sporty and I'm thinking of doing it along with the
Autoblz grill to enhance the look of the front end.

Im not sure what emblem you are talking about. However, I have replaced the front star, rear star, and the C230 emblem on the trunk. (The gold package was added). I have heard an easy way to get the old emblems off is to use dental floss and then some type of degreaser to remove the last part of the adhesives. Hope that helps.

Yeah, I meant the front star with the flat emblem. Dental floss and WD40 works wonders on the rear badging removal. I think the flat in the front makes the
car look more sporty.

The car looks great especially the lights in the bumper. Do you notice any issues with the brakes overheating at all? I was told the side vents there cool the brakes.

Hehe, with a 1,8 litre engine... I don't think so. With temperatures seldom over 25 celsius degrees and max speedlimit at 60 mph, overheated brakes isn't really any problem in Norway.

How are the quality of the grills at autoblz? As well as the clear corners?

Thanks for your help.

having just bought a non-oem grille off ebay (from M Europarts, Miami, FL), I think the main difference from one to the next is the plastic on which the chrome strips are mounted. Mine are shiny black, while oem might be dull grey. Scorchie would point out that the oem is trimmed differently so that the chrome strips sit flush with the grille frame, not behind it. I spent close to 2 hours trying to finess the grille into the frame w/out breaking it, but I never claimed to be the handyest diy-er (please, somebody help me pull my instrument cluster before I f*** it up). And, for $58, I'm very happy with my grille. Back to the flat emblem, Meuroparts has one on ebay now (here) for $26, as well as grilles, lighted mirror covers, etc. I'm looking for clear corners next, so I can mod the car so discretely that the wife (who is the primary driver) won't even notice!

also Trond_Erik, where did you put the switch for your extra foglights? and why is the center vertical line in your grille NOT chrome? and trbo2nr, do your aftermarket brakepads throw a lot of dust?

It's not foglights but high beams with xenon
The switch:

The strip in the middle isn't chrome because i've paintet it black. Looks better that way I think.
