Question A clear corners question (front)

Who has the best quality and best looking clear corners out there? I've found
many but prefer going with one that is well liked on the forum with a good blend
to the front of the car. Thanks.

I've bought mine from www.duw.com in Germany. The brand was MHW. Poor quality and shape. Best quality ever is from www.hella.com

I have to download hella's PDFs files to find the part (haven't done). No pics
as my neighbor has the camera, but it's just the OEM grill (brand new - still looks nice compared to my broken grill that was faded).

oh, so you didn't get the avantgard grille; maybe now that you have an extra grille housing you might mess around and make a custom grille (I've seen some threads where people bought mesh material and did a DIY)

Yep, it's nice having an extra one to mess around with. And honestly, the OEM
looks nice (when it's new and not faded or broken like my old one).

trbo2nr, check out this guy from Club202 (he can't close the hood because he hasn't worked out the hood release yet):

This is an "extra" grille for him, and he's been back and forth about the star in the middle:

seems like a fun project though....

I think the mesh should be a little tighter so the behind stuff doesn't show
so easily. Yeah, that hood release will be something for him to overcome. But
since it's an extra grill, he can take his time on it.

My wife asked what gift I want for the holidays and I'm already thinking tools, car parts, or a vertical air compressor (I'd like to build a custom reel to hold
the hose to the garage ceiling).

Question

I forgot to ask if u had the Bosch part number for the clear corners? I think
the dealer wants $87 each and I'd like to first check ebay etc. Thx.

I got the S600 grill in my old frame! So, I'll pull the OEM off and see how I like
it (tomorrow). While it's not a perfect OEM fit (plastic has slight bend at chrome
ends), it might not be noticeable when mounted on the car.

Thats how the ends are.. so they fit tight against the chrome frame.

Thanks for the part numbers. I see the dealer wants $87 each and some listed
on ebay for under $100.

Oh, that's right: you got the aftermkt S600 before you got a new OEM...hey, allow me to wrestle your thread back on-topic: I too want clear corners, but I don't want to make the mistakes that previous threads have described (poor fit, bad match w/ headlights, etc.). nthepantiesdrop wants to sell his, but I'd like to know if they're Bosch; it was suggested I email steve, and he tells me he has "totally clear, not frosted clear" (?) I've seen threads advising against "crystal clear", so I'm completely lost. Steve sent me this ebay link (here), but, achtung, I confess to still being confused! Help! Anyone? Bueller?

I think from what others have said the crystal clears don't match and the OEM
clears (Bosch) fit the best and look the best overall. I've seen links with a lot
of helpful information under:
