1998 C230 engine oil too hot!!
Hi I have a 1998 C230 and I've had it for a few years now and after I bought i noticed that the oil cap was warped and really hard to twist off I had to have a guy with some muscle so it for me so I bought a new oil cap and then noticed that the top of my engine has been getting extremely hot!! And so has my coolant anyways just wondering what the idea type of oil and coolant for my car is. Makes me sound kinda dumb since IDK that info by now but I've been working on this car since I've had it and learning a lot I rewired the entire engine harness last year never done it before watched you tube videos I did a pretty good job then rewired and spliced in those ridiculious tiny wires that plug into the coil packs not the coils but the tiny ones that the plastic harness falls apart on older cars then had to replace the PVC valve those stupid tiny vacuum lines that connect to each side of the valve and way up under the engine block that u have to install by just feeling around ya right! Had to remove the whole intake housing throttle body MAFS fuel rail injectors and etc anyways ive got it put back together started it runs good but runs super hot!!Thanks.
