Vogtland Sport Kit

Anyone know anything about the vogtland sport kit? its a spring+shock combo.

good? bad?

what is the difference between the vogtland sport kit and the koni sport kit (which also uses vogtland springs)

thanks

When I was trying to decide what I wanted on my W202, I looked into both of these. From what I was able to dig up, they are the same kit.

I didn't get either one...

sctrojans...im in the same category as you are, but for the price that is posted on the web site that you linked to your reply you can get the H&R cup kit which looks like it would be a better choice, but i dunno thats just me check HERE for the h&R kit...it also has an average low that is lower than some other i have found

I've heard some not so goid things about the h&r cup kit on club 202. People who've had them on say that its not good for daily drive b/c the spring are so soft (so too low).

Whatever the case may be, I'm running on 19s, so i prefer to stick with a minimal drop as possible.

19's are sweet!!

19's!!! I ENVY YOU :v yeah sctrojans if you have 19's then you dont want to get a huge drop cuz then you'll have rubbing and cornering problems, i didnt know you had that big of a rim on you ride...sorry but i dont know what else to say other than looking into a different shim size if you dont have that done already

but H&R cup kits tend to be soft and they don't have adjustable shocks. Seems to me you get more for you money with the Koni or Vogtland kit.

shocks

SCTrojans.

I have a 99 C280 Sport and ended up putting on the Eibach ProKit springs with the stock Sport shocks and the ride is great. It lowered the car about 1 inch and I added the staggered 18 AMG wheels. With the appropriate spring pads I have about a 1 finger gap in the front and 1.5 finger gap in the rear for a nice raked look. The ride is still definitely better than stock but stiff enough when you really want to drive the car spirited.
I don't have any pics up currently but if you want I will try and post some.

Go SC on Jan 4.

Thanks
Mike
