W202 estate c 220 cdi
W202 engine not reaching 80c on winter
As the title says it. I own this car for almost 3 years now and it's been a nightmare at winter time when the temps go below 0 the car never reaches operating temps it stays just above 40c and there is barely any heat inside even after a 30min drive on highway at 120-130kmh. I have already replaced the thermostat 3 times and its not that because i have also blocked the radiator with cardboard and nothing changes it just stays there the hose that goes to radiator is coold so the thermostat is doing the job. I was searching around and found that there should be a booster heater at the wheel arch but i do not see any hoses going there. Am i blind or what is going on? Any help is welcomed. The car is w202 estate c220 cdi production year 2000.

questions like a good diagnostician would. Try dialoging with one of them (or try several).
When I do that, the answers point mainly to thermostat or coolant temperature sensor. I read you've replaced the thermostat 3 times
but the symptoms of low gauge reading and little cabin heat generally points to a thermostat stuck open. Are you confident all air was
bled from the coolant system after replacing the thermostat? Using oem, mahle, behr, wahler thermostat?
I am not sure if this will apply to your thermostat, there is a procedure to test a thermostat described
at charm.li for the 2000 c280 (112 engine).
