I was wondering if anyonw knows about the compatibility of C220 and c280 transmitions. I wanna put a c280 engine on my c220. any hints would be helpful

can't do it, the 220 is a 4 cyl. and the 280 is a 6, the 220 tranny wouldn't be able to handle it..

yea alex is right there and unless you have plans to put in a new transmission which is totally not practical.

I'm facing a rebuild of my 190's 2.3 or a replacement. I was starting to cruise for wrecks but ... I don't know the compatability of c class engines. Any one know a good site to check on compatabilities? Or sources of wrecks that I can scout to find a potential candidate?
