Hi Euro.
Sounds electrical if more than one of the gauges are failing. I would check the fusebox, if that's ok i would start running wires out to make sure there isn't a bare spot on one of them and that the connectors are clean and tight. Have you ever been under the dash? maybe something got pulled loose from the cluster assembly, or a spliced wire isn't making connection all the time. good luck

The needles on the gauges are sticking.
In order to repair this problem, the instrument cluster would have to be pulled out, taken apart & the needles & stop pins cleaned.

meanie is right. This is a common problem. One of these days I'm going to video my speedometer going from 0 to 60 in half a second.

I've never heard of that happening, but i have only been a MB owner for a year or so, it's good to know what is a common problem, so thanks for the heads up.
