Booster seats do not connect to the car, the seat and the child are strapped in using the standard seat belt. For this reason, any booster should do.

First of all, buy a new car because your's is getting old and probably will break down soon. 2nd, when you buy the new car... get a booster seat for it also at the dealer. Don't want to be on the side of the road and get hit now, do ya?

1) This will be my new car!
2) Not sure what you're on about being at the side of the road but I'll try and miss you if you're on the hard shoulder :p

Ignore that idiot.

As dmatre said, booster seats (at least the one's I've seen) are used with the regular seat belts. You can get the full seat kind, or the bench kind.

Also, your car does come with "The Latch" system. There should be clips that rotate out at the between the back rest and the seat. There should also be 3 top latches on the back deck (clearly visible).

Thanks, I think I need to do some research to see which booster would be best (although I do like the built in idea).

.
FWIW, I have been very happy with two different booster seats in my Coupe: a Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP and a Britax Bodyguard. Both have high safety ratings from independent organizations, are comfortable for my kiddo, and are very stable on the MB-Tex. I have written a more detailed review on epinions.com here:

PS: AFAICT, Maxi-Cosi have pulled out of the U.S. market (I was unable to find a second RodiXP in a local store last year).

I would imagine you could get an equal or better quality booster seat than the OEM one for a much better price than what MB would charge.

Recaro makes some really cool-looking ones. Your kid will be the envy of the neighborhood.

I'd trust Recaro quality and safety.
Info, and a groupbuy on Honda-Tech

Might want to check that out.
