COMAND Base Sound System Question
I was wondering if the base sound system sounds different when the COMAND option is ordered. I searched this and some people said the HK sound system sounded better with COMAND but didn't offer an explanation.
Alpine makes the COMAND system so I would logically deduce that they would be also making the audio components located in the COMAND head unit. However I have yet to hear any comparison between the base audio and the base audio ordered with COMAND.

i have the stock audio system (no bose 
), when i had COMAND installed there was definitely a difference in sound, the sound quality with COMAND is better than the stock radio.

Which two are you comparing ? Some people say that the old Audio 10 is the best CD player on stock speakers.
Usually the premium sound is not connected to the head unit so it makes no difference except for the fact that the comand can select spatial setups not easily found on the old D2B radio.
There are just too many variables. Type of music, playing style, series of car and the insulation, series of car and the head unit ....... its bordering on random.
