C230 Kompressor Sport Sedan
The cheapest i could find the H&R coilover kit on the web is here:
http://www.autocarparts.com/part/166/647/

Part # 29367-1

Is there anywhere else that may have them cheaper?

$350 for Shock/Strut and spring swap-out, good deal or no?

I've got the stock shocks and springs on the C320 upgrading to Bilstein Sport shocks and Eibach Pro Kit. A local independent with a mechanic I trust can do the swap for $350. Good deal?

If that includes parts it's very cheap, if it's just labor it's very expensive. I paid $330 in LA for the Eibach Pro kit installed (parts and labor). Once you have it apart, shocks are like another 5 minutes.

I have my cupkit sitting in my garage. Went to 2 shops that want $500-600
to install plus alignment.
They say according to their computer it's a 5hr. job.
Are they still going to charge full even if they got done in let's say 3 hrs?..or are the going to take their time and stretch it to 5hrs?

It takes me 5 hours to do this with hand tools and two jacks + jack stands. With air tools, a good lift, and basic knowledge of how this is done, I would imagine any shop could do it under 2 hours.

Considering C320
Aftermarket wheels and springs?

2001 C320:

I have 18" amg knock-offs. I bought it that way - the thing that bothers me is the front wheel well is about three inches off the tire and the rear wheel well is about 1 inch off the tire (which looks nice) Do I need aftermarket springs to lower the front tire gap?

thanks,

pete

i have the same problem on my car w203 as well

i had the H&R cup kit when i noticed this problem. I took the car into the MB dealer and they couldn't find out why and suggested there was a problem the cup kit.

So i i had the cup kit taken off and the original suspension put back on, and guess what, one side still sits 1cm lower. Then MB gave me the BS that this was normal.

All suspension work was done by the Mercedes dealer

Holy Fendergap Batman

Easiest would be to get some later model OEM sport springs from soemone on here that went to coilovers or some other springs.

Your only options are Vogtland springs with OEM shocks or H&R springs with OEM shocks.
