Service Reminder Problem?

I have a little over 1800 miles on my car and last weekend I noticed the display told me that I have approx 11,000 miles until my "A Service". I didnt think twice about it.

Yesterday, I get in the car and the first thing I notice when I started it was it says "Service A in 30 days". Now I'm getting confused because just a few days earlier it said 11,000 miles until my first serive interval.

I was hoping it would have cleared itself or went away by this morning, but today it says "29 days....." This makes no sense to me. I know I can clear the service reminder, but I dont want to skip the A service reminder and go straight to B.

Nothing in particular happend to my car. Its not like there were any changes to warrant this.

Has anybody had this happen to them before? I really dont feel like bringing it into the dealer just so he can clear the reminder if I can do it from home.

This is the second time since December 11 (when I got the car) that something weird happend to me. I had an SRS Alert last month and had to leave the car there for a few days while they replaced a spring.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you for your reply.

That makes sense, but I still cant see bringing the car in for its second service (already did the complimentary service) with under 2k miles on it.

If I reset the service reminder, will it automatically go to Service B? And I wonder if that reminder will be off too since the car seems to have been sitting on the lot for a while after the initial date was set at the factory?

after some reseaching... it is recomended NOT to take the car in for service A with this scenerio. Take it in, explain it, and have them reset your counter. Then at the suggested MILAGE interval take her in. The car is to new to have it done (even if it has been sitting there), it would be a waste of resources, time and money.
