So to get fastest times, do we shift at 2-3k rpm or at the higher 5-6k?

Anyone done a comparision?

hey welcome to the forum. 2-3k rpm is what you rev the engine to before dropping the clutch. then you shift at 5-6k after that.
btw has anyone noticed that when the car is standing still in neutral the highest you can rev the engine to is about 3700?

Yes you would definitely need to shift near the redline which is around 5000 +. Cause that's when the car gets all the horses and torque :v . Also you hear the supercharger workings it *** off and it just sounds great. I also noticed you can't really rev the engine up too high in idle, thought i'm pretty sure once u put it into first with the clutch down you can rev it up all the way. Cept 1 thing i noticed is if u try dropping the clutch with the rpm's above 4000 or so, the car just won't let you drop it... kinda of a nice safety feature i think. I have a digital video camera, and I can hook it up to my computer... so uhm i think i'm gonna bust it out n try to see what i can do with it. I've been able to do some pretty sick burnouts lately, but i'd need a friend to help me out with that..

wow thats cool, i haven't tried that cause its a really bad idea to drop the clutch at that high rpms.
see if your camera will fit between the passenger headrest and the seat, thats a great place to mount it. if you have a tripod you can just set it up on the side of the road or you could always do my trick and set the camera on a guard rail and aim it at the road!

Yeah you cant redline the car when its not moving. I dont remember where it wont let you go past but it was around the 3-4k mark.
