service... AGAIN!

OK... let me start off with, I LOVE my car!

BUT... I just noticed it's leaking fluid (looks like oil).

I've had the car since Jan15 and I've been in 6 times for service.... that can't be right!

I just left the service director at my deal a nice little voicemail.

For what I paid, I could have gotten 2 or more Kia's and had less problems combined. ARRGGGHHH

This isn't one of those MB sucks flaming threads, I've been a huge MB fan for a long time, but the new models are realy starting to **** me off.

[done venting]

OK.. just got confirmation... car is going in today.

While I'm there I will also have them chenge: alarm chirp, no seatbelt warning, phone from MFD.

Seriously though, I'm in a pickle. Just went to my dealers website and the have an 05 C230SS with 5K on it (was traded in).

I am thinking about trading my 05 Coupe for it. I know the motor is the same and all, I just am really reconsidereing haveing 4 doors. That and the sedan looks are starting to grow on me again.

Any MB owners that had both have any suggestions? I like my coupe, I like the sedan, I like my coupe, I like the sedan, I like my coupe, I like the sedan... What to do???

at least I'll have something of 'mine' to drive when the other is in for service every 2 weeks... LOL

UPDATE: got the loaner car (C240 luxery as usual) and she's off to the Doctor.

I think I'm going to test drive the 350Z tonight and perhaps some other makes.

And since I've had a 'billion' problems with the car, they are going to have a professional repaint the rock chip on my hood and the door ding on the drivers side (door ding was their fault to begin with).

man... I hate loving that car soo much... know what i mean?

I go to Glauser MB (I think that is the one you are refering to).

Service reps are great, service techs are 'ok' 9when they're not dinging my door up), sales is about the same as any dealership (they are your best friend till you buy the car... more or less).

Service Director still hasn't called me back (been 5 hours since I left a v-mail). Figure he is either not there, or just doesn't give a hoot if a low-end C-class owner has a 'problem or two'

who is your SA ?...service B is due on mine and a couple of other problems. Been going to Sioux Falls but last time I was there it took three techs to find out where the power steering reservoir was on my car (it's not in the owners manual)...a minor detail but kinda makes you wonder about their skill...

So Glauser has no problems doing minor things like the MFD options with no charge to you?

I also have some warranty parts that were ordered by the Sioux Falls dealership during last visit but did not show up until after I had to leave...wonder if they could just 'transfer" the parts to Glauser..

Yea, I would wonder about that.

Oh, not at all. They are even mod frienly (within reason), AND are a official Kleemann installer/distributer.

got the car back tonight...

so, after putting 70 miles in one day on their loaner car (had some serious running around to do)... I get my car...

OK... the leak ended up being the stupid tranny plug thing. They threw the car up on the rack and the alignment checked out fine. They repaired the two paint chips, and on that note, their paint pro did a bang up job too! I can't tell where the chips were unless I run my hand across the paint, and even then I can barely feel it with my finger tips.

I now have the alarm chirp... COOLEST thing ever

And my 'no phone' notification is also gone.

As mentioned they ended up not doing the seatbelt jingle thing.

I drove a coupe when my 1000 mile service welcome took longer than expected. Could have been the service area was torn down, and they are working in a big tent.

The coupe was nice and zippy, but what I did not like as standing outside in the rain while the back seat passengers perfected the 30 minute load. With four doors, I am safely inside listening to Sirius while my kids are fighting over who gets shotgun, and who rides Pu$$y.

it's a setting that can be changed by the dealer. Most dealers don't know about it so I suggest bringing the instructions.

it's really more of a beep than a chirp too.
