W203 frame diagram

hey guys, this is my first post on this forum. i'm about to be a proud benz owner. about to buy a 2001 c240 thats been involved in a crash resulting in some frontal damage. i am trying to assess the seriousness of the damage and thats why i need a detailed picture of the chassis, frame, unibody, whatever u wanna call it. but basically the internal structure of the car. if anyone has a diagram of that please reply. thanx

Why ?

I assume your worried about frame damage so what you need to do is have the car taken to a shop that does frame work to do a complete check on it by a qualified tech.
Any cost they might charge you to look at it is well worth it over looking at some random pictures and guessing that everything might be "ok"

Looking down aroud the front radiator you can see the front sub-frame mounts. It should be easy to tell if the frame has been straightened by looking at these mounts.

I had a front-end collision with my car. The mounts were straightened and everything infront of them was replaced. If not for the new paint put on the frame after straightening, you wouldn't be able to tell even with every diagram available for the W203 that my car was in a wreck.

Where do you live? I could send you the WIS material I have printed out with that exact information.

yep, thats it. part number 1 in the diagram is cracked from the front. i think the mechanic working on the car wants to weld it together but maybe it should be changed all together. is it possible to change that part on its own?

That #1 part is the radiator support. I have one floating around the place. Its no problem to buy it. That is why there is a photo of it on its own.

i meant the number 1 part in the second picture, the one with the axle. i dont have a picture of the car cos i havent bought it yet and the owner probably wont let me take a picture of the damage before he is sure i'm gonna buy it from him.

I wouldnt buy that car if the owner has something to hide. What kind of a punk attitude would a seller have if he wanted to sell but wouldnt show all the problems clearly.
