Hey, I'm just sayin' I wish I had an extra 10-15 g's just available to me to do a grip of mods to my car. Hell, I don't even have an extra 1 Bill (100) to use for any mods right now. It'd be nice to just get up and say, "I feel like getting a body kit put on today, let me go to the bank, pull out 3 G's and have the body shop start right away." or "I feel like putting in 2 DVD players and 2 monitors on my car. I'm gonna go to the installer today and get that done."

Either way, my experience in forums before was that there were a lot of people saying, "I'm gonna do this. I'm gonna do that. etc...", but they either Never do it or don't want to spend good money to do them. Just interesting to me, that's all. Still getting adjusted to people actually having money to do mods, rather than peeps always complaining about parts being too expensive! I see less of that here than I did with my prior car forum.

Erwin.....
While the armrest was missed, the shifter is tiding me over for a little bit until I can get the ride up on Mitch's lift for the sway bar/spring & shock install. Then I have the XM install and finally Steve will be back to finish what we started.

Come to think of it, knowing how long it takes me to complete anything myself these days, Steve will be back before I can do either of "My" installs.

Both rear montiors are 7" wide screens. Unfortunately, my front monitor is only a 5" square monitor. Works great, especially at night because on the road it just glows.

Erwin,
All in all are you happy with the picture on the COMAND screen? That is all that I am going to have to work with so I want to make sure it looks presentable. Maybe if I get up your way before Steves next visit I can stop by and check it out....

John, to be honest with you, you won't want anything else in that spot other than an MB command. If you want to stay OEM, that's your best choice. There are other aftermarket units you can get but the fit/finish won't be like it is for the command. For our model, I think it's perfect, the 5" monitor is more than enough, also remember that it would be wise that you discipline yourself not to watch and drive at the same time. So for "listening" to the tv, say for news, it's more than enough. Personally, I would have preferred to have the newer DVD command, now that's a nice setup. Eric's E55 euro command in my opinion was a perfect setup, nice wide screen with dvd player in the center console. Then again, I don't have an E55 but rather a C230SS. So you make do with what you have.

So overall, you'll be happy with this setup especially coupled with a tv tuner and dvd player. You are more than welcome to see my setup, just let me know when you are in the area.
