Question 2005 c230 and aftermarket wheel fitment

OK, i searched and saw there has been some issues regarding what wheels and all will fit a 2005 cport sedan with the new brakes... However... no direct answers were given..
I called the wheel exchange today and the guy told me he could not find a wheel that fit the 2005 ss even with putting on some spacers.. I wasnt the LM5 replica wheel, which has a 35mm offset which i always understood would fit even with the 2005 front brakes..but liek i said, the wheel exchange said otherwise. If anyone with a 2004.5 or 2005 have wheels can u please post and help answer my questions?

I also saw that the 19" LM5 wheel is no longer made in 9.5 for the rear, and a 245/30/19 and 255/30/19 rear tire is not made by any companies, so can a 265 fit on a 8.5" width rim?? i thought that was too large of a tire but just checking.

thanx to All! Chris

BOOST,

There was a time when I was interested in the LM-5's as well. I found this website that sells them "www.darksidemotoring." The guy is pretty reasonable but I don't know what your budget is. At any rate, he might be able to get you the wheel in the 9.5's. The other route to go is to get a custom made wheel like HRE or Iforged. I would have to say that the iforged wheels might be a bit expensive for not having the same name recognition as HRE's, they are definitely cheaper for a forged 2-3 piece wheel. Wheelsdirectonline sells the iforged wheels cheaper than most places if you want to go that route. HRE's will be expensive no matter what but I think there is a forum member here that can help you out on a deal if you want those wheels. I'm not advocated any of these companies by the way, but I'm passing along info from my research on wheels, it'll probably save you the trouble of doing it yourself. You can also do a search on the lorinser wheels to see who here has the LM5's. I know I seen it before on somebody's car here but maybe you can contact that person and find out if they needed spacers or not. Good luck.

BOOSTEDPGT,
I've done alot of research before I bought my wheels. IT's all depend on how much you're willing to spend. HRE and Iforged will definitely fit without spacers but they cost a lot. TSW is another alternative. Please check TSW Bremma, Catalunnya and Thruxton. Those wheels will fit without spacers guaranteed. I bought mine through Neal(BlackC230Coupe) 19x8.5 and 19x9.5,wrapped with 235/35 and 265/30,balanced and lug nuts shipped to your front door for less than 2k. People say they are heavy but as far as I know they are pretty much have the same weight with moven and most replica....
The finish is quite impressive...

hey.. thanx to everyone for that advice and promt replies....all ur opinions have really helped me out and i've called some of the places that were suggested. It seems that with 8mm spacers and a 35 offset wheel they shoudl clear the fron rotors just fine with just about any wheel.. I would love to get some hre's or i-forged wheels, however its the expense that i just can't afford right now. Thanx Again!
