C55 trunk lip spoiler - looks good or not?

I've just installed the C55 trunk lip spoiler and frankly, I don't quite like how the rear of my car looks now. Perhaps I'll get used to it. Perhaps I won't. It's just double-sided tape at the moment so I'll have a few days before deciding whether it stays on with sealant, or taken off.

I'm interested to know what you guys think of the spoiler. So...what do you guys think? Appreciate all positive and negative comments.

By the way, I haven't taken any picture of it but I figured everyone has seen enough of it to know what it looks like without any visual aid.

I say keep it, I like how it breaks up the lines in the back.

No worries. Thought I'd take a few before someone put up that "this thread is worthless without pics" smiley.

As a coupe owner from the 'dark' side where we don't have trunks... lol... just kidding.

I like it a lot. I'm also a fan of sleak, elegant, sexy spoilers, and that classifies as one of em.

keep it,
Cheers.

Even though the photo quality is a little blurry, the spoiler looks good. Thumbs up!

It looks good from those pix, maybe it'd look even better if you post some pics of your C55 outside in the open.. ?

Well, try to take your car outside and take a few more good pictures, I think you will start getting used to it and like it though.

Thanks for sharing your opinions, guys. After just one day, I must say that I'm beginning to get used to it. I will take some pictures when the skies are clear again. It's been raining almost continuously for the past few days.

They're authentic AMG wheels. Here's a link for better pictures:

i drive them all, fast and hard
it looks good bro, where did u get yours from.

i still havent put mine on tho, my wife ( whose car it actually is) isnt sure she likes it but ill prob put it on when she is sleeping, LOL

i think im just to petrified ill mess up putting it on. How long after applied can you pull it off, if applied only with the 3M tape it comes with,

also for those of you u have used only double stick, have you had any issues with it sticking right, thanks

I know forum member MJ50 had some trouble with his sticking well and is taking it to the bodyshop to have it stuck on better.

bone stock E55 AMG
i installed it with tape that came w/ spoiler only...
after a few days, i noticed one side edge's tape was slightly detached from the trunk... not that spoiler is gonna come off while driving or anything... but i'm gonna take it to the body shop this weekend and re-install it with extra silicone just to be safe...

Thanks dude. I got mine from a distributor here in Malaysia.

It was stuck on with the original tape yesterday. I've decided to stick with it, so I brought it over to a workshop and have it sealed with silicone glue. I just did it over an hour ago.

I've heard edges coming loose and so on with the original tape. Seems like mj50 has the same experience so I recommend using sealant.

hmm interesting, will silicone have any effect on the paint if that does come off, or if in the future i want it off????

what about the actual c55, is that bolted on, not taped.

has anyone had a perfect result with just the 3M tape?
