Navi: Cannot use the #Pad to enter the street name?

Navi: Cannot use the #Pad to enter the street name?
I just got my car, and yes I am being lazy to look thru the menu. (Cause I know some of you guys will have the answer right off you head ^_^)
So instead of using that little stupid joystick to move aroudn for alphabet when typing in the street name, Is there way to use the number pad on the side to enter the alphabet? that would be more convinent would it?

LOL! i'd love to be able to toggle thru the letters w/ a joystick rather than dial thru them like COMAND 2.0.
lisa's SLK i used the joystick, i dont think you can use the number pad.
