I don't know about the moving, self-levelling bits in the BI-X, but my Halogens are sealed units, so I've not had any condensation in 4 years, and have not seen this on any other MB in memory... I would take it in.

if you have condensation IN the light, you should have MB look at it. your light must not be sealed all the way. most of the time its just the glue that holds the front cover to the backing.
I remeber back when i was a VW owner. a lot of people would take off there headlamps, stick them in the oven and bake them for a few min, then pull them out and pull apart the front cover. then they would paint the inside black, reheat, and replace. many many people who did not put the cover on right got condensation in side the light.

Headlights by themselves do fog up every now and then depending on the temoerature (changes) outside and the humidity...with frosed lenses this is not vissible...with clear glass lenses it is.
If the headlight has condensation every once in a very long while - there is nothing to worry about...take the cover of the rear of the headlight and leave the headlights on for an hour of 2...

I'd follow Bob's advice and take it in. Some makes seem worse than others for this problem. I remember being shocked by its frequency on a Nissan new car lot earlier this year. Whatever, if you see drops on the inside of the glass or persistent fog, it's probably a manufacturing problem.
