come to think of it I think I can't go to triple aaa yet for my kleemann tip - your bumper is flatter and more square for an easy cut and touch up. mine on the other hand has diffuser sections that need to be cut off and refabbed to make it look like the left side. problem is obviously the aaa exhaust takes 3 hours, but goood body work takes 2-3 days (unless I diy, which I think I can). I also took a peek underneath where I want the second tip... gonna lose that authentic brabus stamp!

still can't imagine a dual kleemann brabus . more photoshop needed!!

Just the tip?

Finished looking at all the pics and must say I'm impressed, Drex! That looks even better than I imagined... just how the rear bumper was meant to look with that mesh in between each tip.

Very cool, Drex.

You know that I tend to be more from the ‘walk softly, but carry a big stick’ mindset perspective, but your twin-trapezoidal exhaust outlets’ are just too dang sharp. Major kudos for its uniqueness and originality.

They look tight!

Beaver's Benz - Thanks. I know what you're talking about with regards to the Lexus. Yes, the tips do look similar, although those aren't trapezoid tips, I don't think. Either way, I definitely like how it looks on the Lexus. Looking at the rear valance, I was actually thinking that it would've been nice to add an extra piece of fiberglass on the bottom of the valance to have the exhaust tips sitting in the rear bumper, rather than free standing on the bottom. Too much work though and I'm happy with the results.

nlpamg - You'll hear it soon, I'm sure. Got your missed call late yesterday. Had to catch up on sleep though, so didn't see it until around 8pm.

mig888 - Cutouts didn't come out as "perfect" as they could've been, but that can be fixed at a later time. Actually, I think the passenger side cutout was uneven from the driver's side before MH-Dezent actually filled it in with bondo and sent the rear valance out. Either way, the difference in size between the two cutouts are very slight, so I didn't bother asking AAA to even it out more. I do suggest making sure you get your cutouts done perfect first before going. Your bumper is a little trickier. I still say you should do what we were talking about before, so the tips sit w/ the rear bumper like mine do right now. They can re-position the muffler to compensate for how the Brabus cutout on the Driver's side is.

Blake P- Thanks, B! You and me both. Remember, I was so hesitant because of the muffler sticking out lower than the bottom of the tip and the piping going across the valance showing. All of those concerns gone based on how they set it up! Only thing is, I'm still not sold on the resonator being off. I don't know if I want to attract more attention than the car already does.

splinter - I definitely know where you're coming from. As we had discussed, my friend, it's all about uniqueness and "clean" styling for me. Thanks for the compliments. In most cases, these tips would be very obnoxious looking (even for me), but I'm glad the tips blend well into the rear valance. If they didn't, I think it would look a little funny and I probably would've gone a different route.

To Everybody - Thanks again for all the compliments. As you've seen with the growth/changes of my car the past 4 years (3 years since I started this thread), it's taken some time, careful thought and planning. Ultimately, I've enjoyed every cent I've put into making this car look and move the way that I want. At this point, I've completely indulged myself into my w203, but that stems simply for my love for this chassis. I don't think I'm done, as there are a few more things that have been waiting for the right time to have completed. The next mod may be right around the corner, but I'm not 100% sure yet. And I've got some MBenzNL additions that have been delayed for the past 4 years!...hahahaha (sorry Steve and Wanda, but I promise I will do at least one of them soon!).

You have to hear it in person. Kinda loud for my taste, but tolerable. At WOT, it really does sound a lot like Frank's car (w/o the extra power) and I'm not one to exaggerate that much.

Do you have after market headers and/or high flow cats?

He had them, but unfortunately that's not what's making his car sound the way it does.

Only exhaust stuff I have right now is the cat-back piping (i.e. resonator deleted and piping replaced with new piping). Headers were takin' off a while back. Haven't decided if I'm gonna get another set of headers. Most likely not. Although it was fun to have them, it was a project that I didn't have time to revisit.

Hahaha...Yeah, it was quieter in the cabin before, Frank. Now, I think the only time you can't hear the exhaust is when it's sitting at idle. Other than that... We'll see how I feel in a month. If it's just getting too annoying, I'll have them re-weld the resonator back on, but just use the new piping they gave me.

Hahaha...That's a different story! If I had a drop-top, I'd expect the noise!

Either way, still considering doing the mig888 mod to help just a tiny bit!

it's not from being a drop-top. that's for sure. you were in the car when it had the stock exhaust, completely different with the RE.

dynamat ftw! eh, it'll help out, but not as much as you think.

I guess so. I lasted 7 years with my MX-6's exhaust, which was full cat-back with 2.75 piping and less sound deadening material inside the cabin. I guess I am just getting old...hahahaha. Give me a ferrari and I won't complain. Got a good start with the shoes this weekend!...LOL.
