You guys got a nice ride...

I was at the dealership today for service and MB/Enterprise hooked me up with a C230 Kompressor with what looked like an AMG sport kit...very nice! I was impressed with the sporty look of the exterior and the interior was an upgrade to the W202 my sister had back in the day.

It scoots, too. Plus your cupholder mechanism actually works.

The C55 must be a monster.

Don't think your ride is that shabby either

If I could afford that ride, no question that's what I'd be rollin' in.

Nice to see MB of Tampa is giving out better loaners. Can't forget the time though the dealership "misplaced" my keys which caused me to have a high-class Jeep Liberty for another day..

I too like the new C230 as a nice overall car for the price..but found, IMO the E55 while fast as heck...too controlled in way. That feeling that goes along with speed just wasn't there for me when I drove one.

AMGFan, you don't happen to by chance have a son who goes to UMiami and drives an m3 do you? If you do, then I just may have sat in your E55.

I'm sure you'll get there...I'm not poor but I'm not rolling like Trump so I had to get to the E55 in steps...my next step hopefully will be a Ford GT ! I guess I better work my **** of a little harder !

PS. The E55 is probably the only car I've every had that I would contemplate keeping after the warranty is up...then I would Kleemanize or EvoSport the heck out of it.

I agree but it depends on your priorities...I'm not one to be a F1 wannabe on the road and I don't track the E55 (except for a stint on the drag strip) so the driver's feeling you mention wasn't high on my list.

I would have gotten an M5 or M3 (old body style please) if I wanted to really get a sporty sedan...Instead I chose a 4 door rocket sled to transport my golf buddies in comfort, style, and speed.

No son yet...but South Florida is pretty much a AMG haven, so I'm not surprised you were in one that looked like mine.

Well from looking at your sig. you had a M3..Now, for me, too rough for a "luxury" speed machine...(I'll be the first to admit I'm quite picky )

Maybe it is the four-doors/size that throws me off in the E55...either way, when tee-time is of the essence for you and your buddies I approve in your choice of vehicle. :p

I loved my 1996 M3 (except for resale value), but I loved the last M3 bodystyle even more and was torn between that and the CLK430 bodystyle. I ended up getting the CLK430 but I still have much love for the M3.

However, I must say I would probably get the C class over the new 3 series bodystyle.
