Hate to say it, but it looks like someone tried to pry your sunroof open.....and ripped the bellows in the process (and yeah, it's a bad pic, but you can still see that the "tear" looks more like it was punctured from the outside with a flat blade screwdriver)

mine was ripped by a hockey the parts guy told me it's frequently replaced and usually happens to people who seldom open their sunroof, seems the rubber/plastic material dries and crack?

Easy fix, the parts are about 12$ US each side and you can change them or have them change it, takes a few seconds at most.

Hi Guys,
My sunroof rubber bellows is torn just like the OP. Does anyone have a DIY? Is this following procedure work the same in w203?

http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w140...oof-liner.html

Thank very much in advance,
Song

Had the same problem with my sunroof. Mine was the driver's side bellows. Dealer replaced it under warranty. I just checked the passenger side, and it's starting to show signs that it'll be tearing fairly soon. I figure when my car is in for service in Sept, I'll have them take a look at it and likely replace it.

Didn't think it would take only a few seconds to replace this. Looks like it'd be a PIA.

Hi Cintoman,
My was fine until the last sunny day in Edmonton after many cold months, I opened the roof and drove it. The last thing I know is it was torn at the driver side, I'll check with the dealer and see how much it'll cost.

Mine did the same thing. It looked hard to replace so I was like oh well. Maybe I will look closer.
