A little late responding to the thread!

This guy was definitely asking for too much. I can see his point about being disappointed w/ the antenna and not wanting a hole in his trunk lid. He should have just pushed for the trunk to be replaced (which seems like too much effort, time and money to begin with) or just opted for the painted antenna they offered him.

That's the resolution. Anything additional was asking for way too much.

Let's be honest about one thing though.......... the dealership's sales staff is probably not properly trained etc. Reality is it's your responsibility as a retail entity to ensure that your sales staff know the product in and out. Same reason why I test all my waitstaff periodically to ensure that they know the menu from top to bottom. I don't agree with his whining, but it does say something about how the dealership perhaps trains it's salesmen.

BTW..... the way he handled the situation was not proper imho. It's 400 dollars, not the end of the world... he snoozed as well and put faith in the hands of a salesman. Maybe next time he will learn to take complete control of his purchase and do full research without relying on anyone but himself.

You'll get nothing but oxygen!

You did not get the point across fast enough, your email made me go into a coma after the third line. Furthermore, you acted as if $400 bucks was HUGE cake, if you own a new MB it's not. My thoughts are this, think before you "press send" next time!

Ouch, that pic of a bmw with the wheels stolen hurts. I don't know that he got Owned. Really, I just think he went about it with too much hen pecking from the wife. Only a lawyer would go to that much trouble.

Ed

After all, it took the dealership over a year to comment on the post. Likely, some no name in the organization who felt empowered one evening. If their was litigation, they wouldn't have said anything.

I find it funny that it is there first post sounds like one of you making up a name and posting. I never had a problem with my dealer they even let me use a 2006 e350 while my breaks were getting fixed and let me keep it over my birthday and i still have it. But i do agree that he handled it wrong, why not call them alot of stuff turns out better when you actually talk to the guy, when you send emails its hard to know what you are trying to say.

My first car buying experience with them and i seem to get my salad tossed each and everytime I visit the dealership.

But then again, my last new car was bought from Herb Gordon in Silver Spring. Never again.

Euro Motorcars Bethesda,MD BEST!!! car buying exp. ever, service A++++

i bought a 2003 SL55AMG that was mint from them maybe now 2 years ago. I buy a lot of cars and have seen it all. BEST by far. Fair price , on buy and trade. They gave me a great price on a 5/50 after market warrantee that covers everything. The key / go didn't work, well the keys were missing. they replaced and programmed both for me after the sale , no charge . Esso my salesman was great. I am looking for a G55/63 AMG as a second vehicle and wouldn't go any where else!! Joe Rosauri 302-xxx-xxxx
