does mercedes singapore have the c230 SS...?? is there any way we can get the car in or something??

I don't think the C230SS is available here (I wonder why because its available across the causeway), at least not in their price list anyway. However, you probably can special order it, but you may have to pay a premium as it has not been approved by LTA.

actually... when i checked the model from our neighbour mercedes's webbie... their 230K model is different from the 230SS.. they call it 230K avantgarde..

 

You are right, its the old model and its assembled in Malaysia.

Let me find out from my friend in Cycle & Carriage and let you know how to get your hands on a C230SS here.

Anyway....the C230K avantgarde is the same as in USA except it doesn't come with the AMG bodykit.
May be you can even contact DaimlerChrysler Malaysia, I got my car from them.

We have 2 models of the C230K here in Malaysia. Elegance and Avantgarde. Like Hakkinen said, the Avantgarde is exactly the same as the C230K SS in the US, minus the AMG kit. Everything else - sports suspension, wheels, big brake with drilled rotors, interior, chrome exhaust tip, etc. are identical.

The C230SS will be available in Singapore from October this year. Just got the confirmation from C&C. Manual is an option so it will be on indent basis.

wierd.. the specs of that 230k avantgarde is different from the c230 SS.. look at the 0-100km/h times..

Btw, forgot to mention earlier that the factory run will be in August so since yours would be on indent you should order yours before August to receive your car in October (1st in Singapore!!!).

CC johor has a C230K for i think 330,000 RM..approx 85k USD. One of the demo car there has the AMG kit, wheels and exhaust, and i think they are asking about $10k USD more...if you need any contact, call Micheal at CC malaysia. Tell him "7" rec you.

Kuala Lumpur. Yeah, it's a fun car to drive. Could use a little more power though. When did you get yours? Got mine on October last year, 5 days after the launch here. According to Paul, the DCM Executive Dealer Manager (if he is to be believed), mine was the first C230K on the road in the country

I wouldn't read too much into those 0-100km/h times. After all, both US and Malaysian C230Ks use the same m271 engines. The times aren't indicative in anyway, especially if you're comparing the esthetical specifications of the cars.

I first saw and tested the C230K at Subang in October. I only placed my order with DCM in early February.
