P.S. the money is in the pic to show a relative size of the MB star on the grill. I could have used a CD, but thought I would use a $100 instead.

Sorry to hear about your fitment problems. I'm not sure where you're planning to mount the green paper with the old guy's head on it, but you will definitely want to save those to cover upcoming costs related to the wheels.

No pics of the house just yet, in the process of buying a new one, will post those when we finally find and buy it.

Fronts fit, those are ok. So at this point. I have two call tags coming for the rear two. They are going back, pulling off the 265s and going down to a 245. Also sending back a cut down bolt and will be getting back 10 new ones that are the right size. The dealer even told me that the rims can be shipped there and they will put them on for free, just so I don't mess it all up again. LOL, they have no faith, LOL

PS. Do you know what the actual factory rim width is in the back? Is it 9.5"? The tires rub slightly the way it is so we were considering 255, but 245s IMO would be safer.

I'm pretty sure the stock rear wheels should be 8.5" with a 245 width tire.

Blake P,
Thanks for the answer, hope the 9.5s with new tires fit.

On a more positive not, installed the grill today and the hood badge, looks good. Will post pics later. Got my son climbing all over me right now.

You should probably be ok with the thinner tires. Do you know any place that can roll/shave your fenders if needed? You shouldn't have a problem running 9.5" width wheels and 255 width tires if your fenders are rolled. I've even heard of 265's fitting with rolled and shaved fenders.

I was out taking a look at the inner fender wells and they are thin. Almost as if they were allready rolled. There does not seem to be alot of meat that could be taken care of. Looks like literally about 1/4" - 1/2", They allready roll up and it is just the fold. It would have to be cut out to gain any space. With people talking about chipping paint, Im not willing to go that route.

I completely agree, which is why I'd never go with an "aggressive" wheel or tire width. Another possibility which you may have already checked out is whether or not the rubbing might be on the inside rather than the outside. I know if the offset isn't right, some members have had problems with the inside of the tires rubbing against the rear shocks.

This may not make alot of sense, but it sounds like it is from the outside, it is a bit louder and sounds like it may be rubbing in the back side, where the rear bumper attaches, that is the part that seems to jut out the most.

Breaking Ground????? Sheeeeiiiiiiitttttt, if I thought I was breaking ground it would be a different story, I thought alot of guys put 19s on our cars? Maybe that explains it, lol.

On a side note, got my car tinted today, 50% all around except for the windshield. Its not as dark as I usually like, but Im sure it will grow on me. I wanted it to look good, not too ghetto. I was shooting for still kinda classy, and definately still see me inside when Im driving, lol. I've got to say though, these cars definately have some dark factory tint in the glass, the 50% looks darker than it does on most cars, which is also due to the all black interior
