Frustrated

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Just got to vent a bit.
Had my car in the dealer again today, as it was yesterday, total of 14 hours aligning it, and it is still pulling to the right. They adjusted, and adjusted, and adjusted it, it is in specs, they installed two new castor bolts, one on each side. They have swapped tires from side to side, still does it. No idea why, so they are letting me put my rims on to make sure that it is not a funky tire problem and if it goes away, they will just replace the stock tires. If it does not, then back into the shop it goes.
So...............I went with my new rims to have them installed, and they only place that had time was Dunn Tire, after I drove to four diff. places, so they went to put them on the car and guess what, the new lug bolts were the wrong ones (too thick) and they said the factory bolts were too short on the front and only 1/2" would actually catch the threads. So, no new rims on the car, have to wait til the new lugs come in, shipping out tomorrow, then we'll see how the alignment does.............
And to top it all off, did you know that the C230 SS '05 does not come with a lug wrench or jack?
Then I broke some little seatbelt plastic stop thing on the pass front seatbelt.
Still waiting on the grill and hood emblem from formymercedes, it was back ordered until the 18th, no word if it has shipped yet.

Thats what I thought too, until the whole car was ripped apart and stuff was all over my driveway, thats why I took it to a shop to have the rims put on, I could not find the jack and didn't have one here to do it with. I did not have my owners manual with me to check, just started tearing the car apart. I did call MB and they told me that I could call roadside assistance who would change the flat for me, lol. My owners manual is actually in my backpack, at the dealership in the service advisors office, long story..................

I live in Lockport NY, the closest dealer is where I bought the car, Mercedes Benz of Buffalo. I don't have the map thing here, but I think the next closest dealer is a few hours away. I will give them the chance to fix it, I'm a pretty patient person, but if I have to, I will take it somewhere else. I'm not pissed off yet, just a bit agrivated(spelling).

I also had my alarm set to the Netherlands setting to enable the beeps, I did see a post here about USA-beep setting, but the dealer said there was no option for it, the only one was the NL setting.

I know for a fact the 05' C230K SS comes with a jack and a lug wrench. I had to remove my rear left tire and patch it two days ago. Its in a bag with the spare tire unless someone took it from your car.

OK, I got the jack, wrench, first aid kit, and all that stuff including the gloves. Apparently they were at the dealership and taken out and put in a storage bin in the back. The car I bought, as I have found out, was used at the autoshow they had downtown the week before I bought it. My bad for freaking out about it. I picked all that stuff up, also got a MB CD holder, and another CD changer magazine, feeling a bit better now.

Anyway, while I was at the dealer, I picked up my AUX cable which came in, Ill put it in this weekend, weather permitting. I also ransacked the parts department for different lug bolts, but to no avail. I have to wait until the new ones come in. They shipped out today and are being UPS 2nd day'd to me.

As for taking pics, I can take tons of them, but hosting them is a different story. How do you host pics to put them in here? They have to be hosted right?

nice!! you lucky ____ I want an MB CD case! That reminds me I gotta take pics of my Aux cable install. You don't have to host your pics, just use the Manage Attachments button under Go Advanced and the forum will host the pics.

Hope You realize, pulling to the right is one of the biggest complaint on cars. Part of the problem is roads are crowned for water drainage, and we drive on the right side.

Yeah, I understand the crown of the road and how it can affect some slight pull. But this pulling is not slight. At 55-60, it will yank you off into another lane within about 5-800 feet. I think that is a little more than slight. I have driven other C class cars, a loaner 240 and two 320 that belong to friends, not a problem with those. The loaner, that Im sure is beat up pretty bad, will drive straight on the same roads for just about ever. The tech even told me that it is not right, not just me, but not right with the car.

OK, so I took a couple pics just now, only brought one rim outside with me, has been raining pretty much all day. Didn't have the chance to install the AUX cable yet, get to it later.

Hope this works. Can you see the pics?

OK, Just a word of caution - never hear about people complaining about a pull to the Left.... always , always right.

Try picking a patch of quiet road -one with no traffic - drive in the right lane in one direction, then turn around and drive in the same lane (now your left lane). You might find the car actually pulls slightly more to the left than it does the right.

Many new cars, for about the last 15 years or so, are actually set up by the factory to pull very slightly left (still staying within the specified setup tollerances) on a perfectly flat road to try to make up a bit for the crown on poorer roads.

OK, now Im just pissed.
Finally got the new bolts for the rims. They went on OK. Then, the car would not move, come to find out that the rear bolts were a little too long. So, we tried it with the factory lugs, big mistake. Decided to chop the bolts down, then it fit, ran out of time, only had the fronts and drivers rear on. Drove home, about 1 mile. The rear tire rubs the fender when cornering. Too wide. The rims and tires fit like a glove, but a bit too wide in the back and offset has nothing to do with it. They are about as stuffed as they are going to get. It just has to be the tire width, so now looking at sending the rears back in and getting narrower tires. The front rims and tires fixed the alignment problem, so that problem lied in faulty factory front tires. It gets better. I ended up stripping out the threads on the hub, and damaging the parking brake guts. So now the car is back into the dealer, looking at a little under a grand to fix it. But I got my grill today, have not opened it up yet, scared it might be the wrong one............

Actually the set put me up to $2K shipped, plus another $14 to ship the second set of bolts second day. About another $1K or so to fix it, and still no rims on the car.

Ive seen lots of 19s on our cars here in pics on this forum, didn't think it would be an issue. I can tell you though, working or not, when they were mounted and it was on the ground, it was SWEEEEEET looking! At least I have a visual.......

OK, so I bit the bullet and opened the box, inside there was a flat hood ornament kit and a grill. The grill matches up to the '04 C240 I have outside, so I am assuming that it will be OK on my '05 C230 SS. So far so good.
