He could be right. I just noticed that on the German Website, the 06 Sport Sedan C350 loses its staggered wheel set also. All four are the same size!.
I really hope they dont change the look of the 06. I really want a C350 but i want it to be otherwise exactly the same as the 05. The Sport 05 look great.
BTW, i went down to my dealer today to try to order a 05 C320 SS. He said I couldn't because they no longer make them. When i asked about buying whatever he had in stock, he said he had never seen one over the last year and nothing came up in his database for the NY tri state area!! Not many people want them.
Really hope 06 doesn't change its looks.

He was either confused or just stupid. He was speaking of the COUPE, not sedan.

2006 c230
So apparently price is going up. Anyone have any ideas by how much? I mean output only increases 15 HP. Also, what's the chance of the style changing, 2005 had some major cosmetic changes. How much can they change price for this entry MB?

Gentlemen, if you are interested in a 230 SS: get yourself an 05. Things do not auger well for the 2006.
Honestly I thought the 05 was an awesome deal. AMG looks, fine new interior and a price much lower than what the passerby would guess.

Consider that you had an automatic last time. The C240 is a major dawg off the line, and pretty darn weezy on the highway. Anyway, when your driving around town, and you want to go faster, the auto just downshifts. Now, your brain has to process that, and make the shift to a lower gear. It takes a little longer than just pressing the right foot, but I'd wager the C230 is faster ANYWHERE than the C240. Automatics tend to feel quicker because of the instant down shifts.
I'm stuck in one right now. Trust me. Its sloooooowwwwwwww. My wife thinks her Pacifica would out run it.

Hey, genius, as far as the US market is concerned (he went to a US dealer in NY, right?) coupes are HISTORY. Any other smarta$$ comments?

The C240's problem has always been the awfully slow acceleration from a dead stop.

The C240 is indeed a dog away from the stoplights. But what moves you off the line? Torque does. The torque is down just as much as the HP is on the C240. Now, what keeps you accellerating? Hp, and its kinda hard to make up a 20+HP defecit, and against a lighter car.
Sorry Jimmy, I can't see any scenario where the weezer6 has an advantage. Its just the butt dyno getting fooled by the automatic. Press the gas, and voila, you bump down two gears , the engine winds up...it all seems rather fast unless another car is alongside you. I just finished a week in a C240, its slow everywhere. My car leaps from 60 to 120, the C240 struggles to reach 100 from highway speed.
