WD40 is a great solvent with the main ingredient being Kerosene, no different than using varsol or other mineral spirits such as goo-gone etc. It will not harm the paint if used carefully

The only thing that is hard on paint is brake fluid, which will lift the paint at an instant unless it is DOT5 which is silicon based

It would be fun to put C240 on the back and blow everyone away when the light turns green
well i guess that is one of the reasons, but i'm very careful with where i park my car for the most part in Vancouver i have no problems with my car being damaged, but in surrey at times its kinda shady. so my car is never parked in a bad area or a dark area. so i have been lucky for now. but my parents house in surrey is hell. so when the car is there its always in the garage. (bonus is that they have a really nice heated garage)
i have never considered selling my badges they are all just sting in my house somewhere.

WD40 would only eat thought the pain if u leave it on the car for long tiem and or leave it on the car when its a hot sunny day outside?
and if that was the case when ur car goes in to service and the dealer re-lub ur door handles "with wd40" and you have stereaks of WD40 running down ur door, would that not have eaten away your paint on the car.
and on the other hand WD40 is an oil base lubricant and its commonly use to clean ur car at a detail show. it helps to get rid of rood-tar, and burned rubber from all the peal outs you do with ur car.

there is no way u can tell that my car has a stain or the paint has been eaten away by WD40

BTW: the only reason i took my badges off with WD40 is because it was recommended by a very repeatable detailing shop in Vancouver.

lol what a poor child he is....ok so heres the pic of my debadge...the adhesive gave me a work out, I ran to the store and got some goo-gone, worked great...only if you look within a foot can you see any shading, but one wax will take care of that, and also the car is kinda dirty at the moment, I've yet to take full photos of my car, but once I find a decent location to take them at they'll be in the official thread..

you changed out the rear amber turn signals, but aren't the ones in your headlights still amber? and you're gonna do some soldering on the '05 blinkers to make them white?
