You should've left the "C230" and put the "K" at the end. You could then remove everything except the "SS" from "KOMPRESSOR".

wow. nice wheels. have more pics of the wheels? I actually like that sport badge on the side, i thought it was a nice touch, kinda like how e36 m3's have the m3 badge on the side fenders.

I have the 320 coupe with C5 & C7, trying to decide if i want to debadge, i know if i had an AMG, i would not debadge (for obvious reasons). Also, do people usually remove the star off the rear?

I've been reading this forum for quite sometime, THANKS for all your comments and ideas.

Welcome to the boards!

Good question. I think the only car I wouldn't debadge is the AMG cars, but that's just my personal taste. Most people who debadge their car keep the Benz emblem on the rear. I don't remember the last Benz I've seen without the rear badge, but people have done it.

Another thing, that I'm not quite sure about, is whether or not the Benz rear emblem is just a stick on part or if it is bolted in with screws/mounts/holes. Anybody know?

It's bolted.

Some people have changed the rear emblem to the Kleemann ones or Brabus ones too...

It's definitely not a stick on emblem.

I'd rather keep the stock emblem on the rear. it is a benz infact. why change it unless you do a full kleeman or brabus makeover?

Ok, someone please explain to me the differences between c230k, c230wz, etc.....I thought I knew the difference until WZ and K are used interchangeably here to describe the sedan and the coupe. My impression was that WZ is the Sedan, K is the Coupe....ss refers to Sports Sedan...

Or am I wrong...My 2005 C230 Kompressor Sports Sedan purchase order clearly lists it as a C230WZ, so a little confused here...

Thanks for the clarification!!

as far as i know: c230k = an abbreviation for C230 Kompressor, C230WZ = the MBUSA name for the C230 Kompressor Sport Sedan (i'm 99.9% sure)

W203 in general = C-class Coupe & Sedan (C180, C200, C230, C240, C320, C32 AMG, C55 AMG, etc...)

WZ203 = Sedan
CL203 = Coupe

C230K = is just the 2.3L (M111) or 1.8L (M271) supercharged engine designation found in either Coupe or Sedan.

C230K by itself does not connotate a COUPE or SEDAN.

Other abbreviations:
SS = Sport Sedan
SC = Sport Coupe
AG = Avantgarde
LX = Luxury
EV = Evolution
AMG = Aufrecht, Melcher, Großaspach

Coupes come in C180K, C200K, C230K, and C320 V6 (M112) + C32, C30 AMG models
Sedans come in C180K, C200K, C230K, C240 and C320 V6 (M112) + C32, C55 AMG models

to confuse you even further, wait for the 2006 models !

Carlos

clears are so played out !!!
it's a full twist of irony. japanese cars getting clear lights to look "EURO", now EURO cars doing the same thing, when in fact, EURO cars don't even have clears !! go figure !

Yeah I ordered them from evosport for $95. I like that they match the paint and blend into the side moldings. Not gonna dis the clears- they do look good on some cars.

but then you loose the safety feature of having front side markers. that's like you have two headlights, so paint one of them black, because it looks good. you loose a safety feature.

Since most collisions occur at intersections, it's not a good idea to make the side of your car harder to see at night

I heard that they still produce some light, but even if they don't i'm not going to be too upset about it. I figure it's better than the euro impact strips as far as saftey goes, and more the look I want rather than clears.

hardly any at all. imagine taking a christmas tree light bulb and painting it black, how much light could possibly shine through??
