If you do a little searching, you'll find you need either a load equalizer or you can splice in a hidden OEM light in that circuit. Both serve to trick the car's computer into thinking the stock bulb is in place and isn't blown.

I had LED's in my city lights before I replaced the headlights with BiX.

Go to the autostore and buy a set of cheapy wedge bulb sockets with pigtails, and some scotchlocks. Just attach the second set of sockets to the leads going to the city lights. Take your OEM tungstens and put them in the new sockets, and tape them out of the way. Put the LED's in the city light sockets. Everything should work fine after that.

Lot cheaper than load equalizers and don't get as hot. LED's work really good in the marker lights and turn signals too!

They are actually a little bluer/whiter than the Xenon lamps in the Bix lights. Obviously, not as bright. If youve got Bix, I'd leave them alone. I put mine back after getting the Bix lights. Its just too ricey with everything white blue, and quite frankly any of the options for the parking lights(leds or the blue or fake Xenon bulbs) are all drowned out by the blast from the Xenon lights. The stock bulbs at least light up the housing fully, and nicely contrast the blue light from the Bix. It actually makes them look legit, not some ricey rice conversion. Just my experience.

OTOH, if you have the clear marker lights, LED's look great in there.

Outland, were you the one that had posted having done this before (post about 2 or 3 years ago)? I couldn't find the old thread where this was discussed.

Anyways, thanks for the info/input on the LED's. I was already considering doing it for the side markers for sure. It's the parking lights that I was having a difficult time deciding.

If I do decide to do it, what size load equalizer/stabilizer did you use?
