Quick Question - Answer As Fast As Possible
Ok. Did searches, cant find anything on the internet or on here. What are the Gear ratios of a 2005 C240 auto? This is all I found so far:

I note as usual here a wealth of wiseass posts, and no real information.
The answer to your question is that the actual gear ratios for the automatic are the same as you listed in your original post, but the C240 has a shorter final drive than the C320 - in this case, 3:46 on the C240 vs 3:27 on the C320.
This is why a C320 will actually match or better a C240 in fuel economy, and is the only thing I would change in our C240 - a little too rev-happy at speed, though it is certainly quiet enough. [A C240 automatic is doing just about an even 3000 rpm at 70 mph].
Anyway, the ratios in the 5-spd automatic in the C haven't changed since it was introduced. All that WILL change in the '06 model year, when the cars get the new 7 spd automatic [except the 4-matics, which retain the current trans for the time being].
