Zippy, my car (was told this by the insurance agent) has the same "index number'' as a vette...so of course I'm going to pay more then your 4-door 1.8L sedan...

The gain in his insurance premium is 100 times the horsepower gains of your K&N as told by your butt dyno.

P.S.

I do believe that in this case SRT-6 means C32 V6 Kompressor engine.

What is the point of your message? To tell me that because my Niece is driving a car she is going to die in a year or to say that no 16 year old in this entire country can be responsible enough to drive? Or are you making lame generalizations?

My Niece has been training to be an Olympic gymnist for 5 years and between going to school and 3-5 hours of practice everyday she is confronted with her little sister who has a rare liver disease and is constantly in and out of the hospital. The world has been dealing her some pretty heavy cards as is so if she turns out a little spoiled then good for her, she deserves it. So I figure that she will be responsible enough to drive so that she can get herself back and forth to practice and school.

Now, I'm not sure how responsible you were at 16, but I managed to keep my car from being wrecked when I was 16. She comes from a resposible family that can make sure she is a responsible driver, I am really not sure why it is any of your business. There will be restrictions as to where she will be able to go and what she is doing and if she doesn't seem ready for the responsiblility then it can wait a few years. But I know that it would help her family out if she could transport herself around town.

Just because someone gives you something doesn't mean that you can't understand that that gesture came at the expense and hard work of others and you should appreciate what you have. Even though my parents pretty much paid for my world until I graduated college—I always understood that they were the first generation of African Americans in their families to provide better than their parents did. Seeing us not have to want for anything was not a trade off for raising responsible, thinking kids. They fought for the ability to do so. So we are doing the same.

So she just might crash that car in 12 months but I will glad she did it in that Benz with mutiple airbags than some junked up mess that we put her in that cost a couple of grand.

So don't come up in my post making unfounded statements. Unless you can bring something worth saying to the table then don't bring it at all.

all i'm saying is that when i was in highschool, every week i would hear about another 16 year old totaling their car. they didn't die but their car was so wrecked they had to get a new one. and it would happen over and over and over again but they would never learn cause their mommy and daddy would give them new cars to wreck every time.

if your niece is responsible enough to be GIVEN a new benz at 16 years old and not wreck it then congratulations, good for her.
