C7 Pedals on C32

C7 Pedals on C32
Hey all,
I was originally thinking of getting the SL sport package pedal covers to put on my C32. The e-brake and regular brake covers are really easy, you just take off the old ones and slip the new one's on. Then I found out that in order to get the matching accelerator pedal, you may have to change the entire assembly, which costs in excess of $100. The other two cost about $25 together. Someone on the C32 board did this....
What about the C7 pedals? From what I can tell, the only aesthetic difference is that they have circular pegs instead of ovular ones.
Does anyone know if the C7 automatic accelerator pedal cover could be transferred to the sedan? If that is the case, I could order the brake and accelerator pedal covers for the coupe for under $30, instead of paying $125 to go the SL route.

Well, I put the Brabus pedal cover set on my ccoupe. To remove the C7 gas pedal, I had to cut it, since the pedal is actually part of a closed loop, which is what they must mean by the "entire assembly". So, I'd say that you'd get the same answer with the C7pedal set-up as well.
And, if you're going that route, for a little more (around $200), you might as well get the Brabus set. It looks much better than any OEM pedal sets, IMHO.

I called the MB dealer today. They told me it's not a good idea to switch the accelerator assembly b/c the thing runs on electronic sensors and there's a chance that the SL or the C7 accelerator sensors aren't compatible with C230.
For once, MB is helping me save $ by telling me not to buy something from them :p
