Techinically yes you can installa pre updated 209 cluster in a 203 and make it work. Steve has done it already as well. 211 clusters are out of the question since they require a few other modules present in 211 cars. Without these module, you will get a very annoying red screen all the time.

sooo... I've been getting curious lately... just how difficult is it to get your own stardiagnose system? Or, I wonder if there is some way of hacking into the computer with third party tools.

an IC upgrade is possible as Steve has done one on his preupdated d2b C class. A few minor bugs remain to be cleared out on those cars. Stay tuned for an update on this.
