CD Changer Installation
Can anyone tell me how to install the OEM CD Changer in a 2003 C240? I know it goes in the glove box but how do you completely remove the glove box to actually install the cd changer? It looks like the glove box is attached somehow on the left to the center console but I can figure out how to remove the clips.

The CD changer fits in a bracket that slides in place and is held in with only one screw, no removal of the glove box is required but you will have to open the glove box door. Some feel the bracket is a waste of time and use velcro to hold it in place. Then the rest is a piece of cake, punch out the square in the left side of the glove box and take the CD changer wiring harness taped behind the radio and fit it through that hole and attach it to the CD changer, then get the spare fiber optic cable in your trunk under the trunk mat and attach that between the CD changer and radio. Shouldn't take you more than 30 minutes once you have done it a few times.

Any required programming?
I want to add a CD changer to my 03 C240. There are many available on e-Bay. One seller stated that if there was no changer previously in the car, a "program" would have to be run by a dealer. This would allow the head unit to recognize the changer. Is this true? Or, can I simply install the changer as illustrated in this thread and start using it?
