Its my birthday..time to post pics of my ride! Custom exhaust etc.

Well today is my birthday...nothing special going on today since I graduated from my H.S. just 2 days ago so thats my biggest gift. Here are finally some pics of my '04 C230K ss...So far I got the CL type front grill from fmm.com and the flat hood emblem, clear side markers, 20% tint all around, and my latest and greatest mod so far to the car...my custom DUAL exhaust set-up. Bought myself this 'idea' for my birthday/graduation gift and had my muffler shop do what I dreamed of, 3 hrs. later I had this custom set-up. Enjoy the pics, and please let me know what you all think. BTW im debating suspension, but it rides so nice and I like a warranty on my suspension too Thanks guys
Heres the custom exhaust...this is what I dreamed of to have on my car...looks so classy from the back and gives the C class a much sportier look.

Tips made by 'silverline'

The custom piping and little shot of the underside. The exhaust is a muffler back with stock resonator.

The extension on the tips from looking down. They only stick out about 1" total.

Another full shot from the back

CL grill

A full shot...damn sexy styling. Thanks Mercedes!

Snazzy shot I guess...

Happy Birthday !!

congrats on graduation !

and even more congrats on a really nice ride !
Love the exhaust job.... keep up the good work.
Gotta bring the car down on July 9th to the ENCINITAS MB/AMG meet !
Would love to see it in person, as I'm sure a whole lot of people would too.
It's not too often, that we see such really good custom exhaust work.
That really gets everyone excited, at these meets.

When you are in HS, you want to get out. And when you are out, you miss it. I miss HS, college, and the times I had in my Mercedes. Congrats and take good care of your car.

ok seriously I need to know where you get that done and how much....I swear I have my tip replaced too many times (simply they dont look good every time) I forgot how many exactly....I want to have them redone...for the last time. How loud is that muffler? I want to keep the stock muffler...you think they can weld the rest on? or do I have to replace the muffler (I dont want a loud pipe).
Your set up looks awesome!

She sounds pretty sporty is what I can say. I told the guy and owner actually (Russ)-who has worked on my jetta and gti previously that I was just looking for that deeper AMG style tone yet nothing to the point where it takes away from the car.

So he set me up with a flowmaster XL series I believe muffler and just did a muffler back. I kept the stock resonator since it was great for keeping the backpressure and some noise reduction. The car can drone at lower rev's but like all exhausts has quiet down a bit. Now it has a throaty growl right as I step on the gas then fades away into a toned rev. And both tips are functional too..I did go shopping around to other shops before I went to my place and all of them told me that it was not possible because of the space and that the other tip would only be for 'looks' and not functional.

Well Russ made the piping to get it to fit AND made the other tip still fully functional. If there is someone local or nearby with a miniDV or something...let me know and i'll meet up to get clips for everyone.

Yeah the tips were a big thing for me...I told him what I wanted and he said he already had a set that looked very OEM and would not be too big or too crazy looking. I trusted him without even seeing the tips 'till the day of the install and he was right, they looked great. The muffler isnt that loud, but there is a little droning yet there is a lot of just sound that was never there before that is there now, but in a 'tuned' sense. Its not a loud pipe at all...thats why I kept the stock resonator, and he told me it would start sounding crazy and not so good once that was messed with. Thanks man! Im glad you love it...i've always stared at your car pics

wow, that's it? RBtech quoted me like $1200 for something like that. Do you notice a decline in performance? (I was told adding duals would decrease any performance) Also, the $300 is for the muffler and tips? I know you mentioned that you bought all of it. I was thinking of just getting another factory tip and reusing the existing one...

also, where is Mesa Mufflers? thanks!

Hey man, yes I went to Harbor...and graduated on the 23rd as well. I actually think I saw your car going down the back side of Newport Coast one evening on San Juakeen(sp) dr. I think it is....I meant to ask if you were on here but blanked later on about posting up about it. Ive seen a few black c's as well around here you know, they're damn common...but not as much as the silvers Well look for a black C with dual exhaust and the CL grill and its me.
