Carlos,
I don't have picture of it myself, but it looks just like the normal cruise stalk, except that you can push the end in toward the steering wheel, and then there is an LED that indicates if it is on or not. Also, there are some extra markings on it as well.

greetingz,
greetingz,
finally, we are one step ahead of the curve, when it comes to a US vs EURO spec feature.
There's probably something in there to make it more difficult though.
It can't be that easy for US spec ICs.
thanks for the info, Steve !

oh, and sorry for the ignorance, but what is SCN coding ?
or what does SCN stand for ?

The vehicle data card must be changed to have SPEEDTRONIC added before getting a new SCN code. SCN = SOFTWARE CONTROL NUMBER. it's a security measure that MB has to prevent people modifying the Fuel Management Computer.
Steve... Yes you are correct. I forgot that you told that me once before also.
Carlos, The speed limiter assy will replace the cruise control lever completely. The limit is activated by pressing it inwards which the standard lever cannot do. Also, there is a small orange LED that says LIM which lights up when pressed in. Once pressed in, you can tap the lever up and down to adjust the limit speed.

The operation is very similar to the cruise control. When you push the stalk in, the cruise control becomes the speedtronic. Push the lever up to increase speed limit, down to reduce speed limit, towards you to activate and away from you to cancel. The speed limit is displayed on the MFD.

Honestly, unless you really need it or have a really big lead foot, don't watse your time...only used it once to see how it worked. If you are checking your mirrors and speed every 10 seconds or so like you should, you shouldn't need it.

Ok, that makes sense. But, the next question is, how do you change the data card?

Most dealers in USA don't even know what a data card is. It usually has to be done abroad.

Datacard
Is the Datacard something that can be programmed in place or does it need to be pulled- sent somewhere- programmed- returned?
It sounds like an essential component for the car and what capabilities the car has. What else does this magic piece of silicon contain?
