Evosport UDPS , does it fit the C230
Simple question.
If MB is like other car manufacturers, then i'd expect the alternator and the p/s pump to be the same in all c-class cars at the least.
Has anyone tried the C240/C320 ODPS on a C230?
This would be a nice 10-13hp gain if we can get it to fit on our cars (it probably already does, we may just need a belt to do this)
Vadim? would you like to comment ?
-Thanks

evosport has been saying that they have a pully for the M271 engine under production... a prototype was supposed to be released waaaaay back in the day, still no word on it. there's a huge thread on this topic (STFF), I'm pretty sure the option is dead.
*edit* here's the thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...ht=m271+pulley

if it did, don't you think they would have advertised it as a C230K/C240/C320 kit ????

I want you to realise that i have read that thread. IT hasn't been updated in 5 months.
They say that the crank pulley manufacturer is back logged.
Which means they can make 'normal' undampened pullies but are stuck on the dampener. They've stated this many times.
I am talking about a pure underdrive kit
stock dampener, stock boost. Larger alternator pulley (Which they have already designed and are done with) and possibly a larger water pump and an OE size power steering pulley (out of alloy to drop some rotational mass).
This is not THAT hard to make, certainly no different to make than the C240/C320 kit...and I'd hope that underdriving the waterpump and alternator would show a pretty good gain on the dyno, and making the very large p/s pulley lighter will show an inertia gain in how the car revs.
3 times they state in that thread they are waiting on the dampener manufacturer....
So a kit like the one i'm talking about, could have been released about a year ago or even earleir when the 240 kit came out.
people are too hung up on boost ...

quick question...
I intend on buying the evosport pulley, when i buy the powerchip from them.
How well does the A/C work when at a really long idle? Does the A/C compressor still turn fast enough to keep the system flowing?
My RX-7, the A/C was worthless at long stop lights (or sitting for 2 hours at the Tijuana border on a 90 degree day). Also, the waterpump and steering, and alternator? Anyone notice any issues with those?
I do drive my car as my daily driver, not a track car.
