whats the dealio' on adding HID Retro's to a NON-HID C-class?

whats the dealio' on adding HID Retro's to a NON-HID C-class?
I was told that the harness for the H7 is different so you just cant add a plug and play HID retro kit on a W203. I don't understand why since an H7 is an H7 and the HID bulb should just plug in. There are some really good GB's on my other VW/Audi forums that I would like to get in on for replacing my sucky halogens.
anyone have problems doing this?

no help...people may have done it but nobody is stating the way they did it. only thing I noticed was people back in 2002 saying that they had to go to the dealer to have a computer reset.
I'm new to MBZ but why would you need to rest the ECU when your just changing bulbs? its not like your using auto leveling like in my old A4 where they used the tool to set the settings.

Dachigga is correct. Coming from a different forum you should know that the search function will provide those answers. Especially when it concerns your MY04 C240 and its reflective light pattern through its headlamp lens.

1) What is the difference between a MY02 and an MY04 in regards to a headlamp lens and their respective reflectivity?
2) What is the power requirement.
3) How will the car react to 2)?

All of that has been answered.
it's no big deal. I'm just saying that there hasn't been any new updated info on the retros since like 2002. people ask questions, and some are able to get it to work but the info I found seemed outdated, that's all. I guess my ? is point blank, without buying the new projectors, do the retros work without F'ing up your headlights and car?
