New C280 here at last!!!!!
and finally got a good nights sleep as well! After driving it a couple of miles this is what I've noticed so far:
Coming from a pre-facelift C to this facelift version I definately notice an improvement in quality. The car feels more solid on the road and very quiet on the move, though the latter is also mainly due to the new V6 engine.
The seats feel more softer on the initial layerings but the good old firmness for longer journeys can still be felt.
Cabin material quality is up.
I very much prefer the new round dial set up to the previous half moon ones! I like to see the rev counter swinging all the way!
Though I'm really trying to restrain myself.
Which brings me to the engine. All 3litres of its V6, 24 valve glory!!
It's a peach! Quiet on idle and delivers a fruity gurgle on acceleration. As the revs rise the sweeter the sound, Quite sporty, though I'll probably be getting the AMG exhaust once its released in October 05.
The engine doesn't feel stressed at all. I had 4 passengers in the car and it still pulled strongly with no sign that it was any problem carrying the extra weight. I can't wait till I pass the 1,500km mark and then can really let her rip!
All in all, its a very refined, sporty car. It's weird but it doesn't feel like a C-class. Its not an E but its just feels like something else better!
Mods I've done so far and I've not even had it for a day yet
1) AMG Style IV rims, 225/40 R18 in front and 255/35 R18 in the rear with Goodyear GS D3s
2) 20% window tint all round
3) Osram blueish orange indicators, Osram xenon effect H7 bulbs in the dipped beam light section, Osram xenon effect parking lights, Bosch xenon effect H7 high beam bulbs, and Osram xenon effect HB4 foglights.
Well got to go out now (for a drive of course)![drive](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/driving.gif)
Enjoy the pics!!

After seeing and living w/ a C class sedan w/ sport package, the C280 and non-sport C350 look SOOOOOO plain and grandmotherly

2005 C Wagon (No snickering please!)
That new 280 you have really does the trick in the looks department with the wheels you put on it.
That car is astonishingly fast! I noticed your car can do 260, while mine only goes 140!
Who mounted the steering wheel on the right side? Is that what makes it so fast? JK!
Are you in KL or HK? I prefer the blue tint rather than the neutral density on a white car. It kinda matches the Osram blue lamps too.

I discovered that the fuel consumption is about the same. I only use slightly more petrol with larger engines (about 3%) when driving from my villa in Hang Hau to Pennys Bay. I was amazed!

From a C180, 2.0 litre engine, 2002 model to a 2005/6 C280 I'm looking forward to how the engine performs and wondering how much more fuel it will consume?
