Tinted Windows W203 Thread - All You want to know about window tinting a C Class
I finally got the front windshield tinted. The guy who did it came to ME and only charged $20! He had previously done the rest of the car when I bought it. He tints all the cars at MB of S. Atl. He did a great job on my car and I highly recommend him to anyone around Atlanta. His company is called Tinting by Norm and his number is 404-402-4490.

The solution used to attach the tint film is just Johnson & Johnson Baby Shampoo. I use a capful in a spray bottle (little less than a quart.) I don't see how this could stain the fabric near the window. Here are instructions from a tint maker.

Hi-Kool seems to be a local Thai brand. I have used it on the windows of my Bangkok office. The type I used is sold as "dual" transmission, but it really has just a reflective layer on it, like a mirror. It will reflect 80% of the light from the outside, keeping you cooler, and keep prying eyes from seeing who is driving through Patpong. :v If you turn on a light inside the car, 50% of the light gets out. While this is great in the daytime, It is a little dark at night, so I take a Tuk-tuk after sundown.

Well the new rule here in UAE we don’t have to take permission to tint the windows, legally its allowed to tint by 30% .
but people here going for 50% minimum and 70%, its not allowed, but you will pass if you are lucky...

i haven't done anything with it myself yet, it's been too cold or snowing or raining since i've had the car. the camera is a sony p10, 5mp. it was pouring hard all day and i've never taken any pics while it's raining so i stood out there with an umbrella for half an hour looking for creative shots. the license plate frame adds 8hp, i got that to replace the dumb dealership advertisment and the black metal finish matches the car and makes the ugly license plate look smaller.one nice thing about the tint is the windows still have that factory blue tint look, now they're just much darker.
