Beth, don't feel obligated to explain your case. No matter what, some people may emotionally attached to the MB brand and take it personally if anyone have anything negative to say about MB cars. When my lemon case went underway, I didn't mention it here until in the later stage. Just didn't want to stir much waves here. Maybe you may have mentioned about the lemon law to different people over time more than any other members here. But that's because you have been through it and like to pass out the knowledge.
I don't dislike MB, but the C230K experience steers me away from MB at least for now. Maybe I will buy another MB some day, who knows. When I bought the IS300, Lexus even includes a booklet with the lemon law of all the states in US. The sales rep showed me the book and encourage me to read about it because it's good to know.

Oh yeah, I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy the IS300, but as soon as the sales rep showed me the lemon law booklet. I was like under a spell and signed the paper work immediately. LOL

and the glovebox of the C230k is not that big, especially after the CD changer is installed. Unless there is a secret compartment there. And I had the car for a day before bringing it back to install the changer. So it won't be they took it out to install the changer and forgot to put it back.

I am 100% sure I didn't get the book. I am reading everything comes with the car and manuals kind of guy. And didn't get that either with the VW nor the BMW. When did this start?

Literally a "sticker" page that was stuck into the owner's manual. Describes the California lemon law stuff. I do think that the disclosure is required - its not required to be in a separate book but has to be there somewhere. Re-check your owner's manual (actually, its called an "operator's manual" these days since most people are actually only operators (i.e. renters), not owners, of their cars anymore).
