I ordered mine last Saturday and have not heard word one from OEMPARTSDIRECT since the auto-reply to my order that day. I sure hope they are working on the order. It's possible the holiday might slow the order down. Like you, my order is coming cross-country.

dammit! see, I JUST got an e-mail from them saying that I need to fax them a copy of the registration and my drivers license to prove proof of ownership... now it's an additional step...

Hmmm...I emailed Jamie today about my order. I received a return receipt that She (or He) read it about 3 hours ago. They have not updated me or asked for reg. and DL.

i ordered mine on the 30th. as i stated before, i couldn't get the paypal payment to work through their website so i just sent payment through paypal.com itself straight to the paypal address they had listed on the website. i have since heard nothing from them even though i sent two emails asking for the status of my order

It took about a few days (2~3) to complete the transaction. My transaction was completed on 24th, and i recieved my keys today, 4th. I live in Vancouver, so it might be a bit faster for the people who live in the US.
And yea, im also worried too, coz all they need is VIN and 60USD, and wait for half a month, and the key works like it came with the car. I can just go find an S65 AMG, order a key and pick up ladies on friday night...

Got mine today!
it comes with:
- the key
- the blade
- 4 color buttons to choose from (green, red, black and gray)
the key came ready to rock and roll. i could use it instantly and the key blade works as well. when you stick it in the ignition it will program it (less than 2 secs). it basically resets all your settings. while you have your seat the way you want it, set the memory on it again for those of you with memory seats. i forgot to do that with mine and lost it

Guys i just recieved mine today!!
It works perfectly fine, and it looks HELL LOT MORE BETTER than the previous one.
for those of you who ordered from OEMPARTSDIRECT, it actually used Fedex, not UPS as listed on the website. At least it was for me.
Sorry for the bad quality of the pix, as i took them with my cellphone.
also posting two pix of this beast parked right beside my cars while i tried the key.

Yea, and in fact, my old keys have their own sets of memories on the seat, and the new key have their own sets, if u understand what i mean. So to solve ur seat memory problem, just plug ur old key, adjust the seat to ur favorite position, then plug the new key in and save it again.
The method to eject the battery part is the same as it was on the old key. You take out the blade key, find the button that looks like the one on the older key (the one to pop out the battery part), use the "hook" part of the blade key and push and hold the button to the right (as if you're looking at the key with the MB Star facing u) and pull the chrome part at the top. It's very tight so you might need to stick your finger nail between the chrome part and the black part and push a bit.. after you practice for a few times it'd be alot more easier to pop the battery part out.

btw - with teh new key after it resets thats it! you cant put in the old key and get it back b/c once you place the new one in again it will go back to what you had it set to before. nothing you can do about this. you will need to set it the first time you use the new key or else it will all reset to what is coded on the key. b ut since the key doesnt come coded yet at first you can only do this the very first time - i hope that makes sense.

Ok this is a great deal !!! I placed my order on December 30th using my CC. And look what came in today. Not bad at all, total out of pocket came to $76.41. $48.38 for the key and $3.03 for the blade. I paid for 2nd day shipment hence the additional $25.00
It came from Hammersley Group in Roanoke, Virgina. Already doing a second key....
