3k service

Just went in for my 1-3k mile service got me a red rental car that smells like *** =[. Anyone know exactly what they do for this first checkup? He said hes gonna add an alignment check to it and hopefully they wash it ^^ maybe some gas to that would rock.

2005 230 Sport Sedan, Brilliant Silver, 6 Spd, Heated Seats, Sunroof, CDC, Flat Emblem, Clear Sides,
just got mine done at 1800 miles. they check all fluids/ top them off. check all seals to ensure no leaks, check tire pressure, alignment, reset cpu and clean her up for you... should not take more than 60 mins so I am surprised that you had to leave it.

so freaking true.

me: 'can i have an alignment'
them: 'sure, warranty does not cover after 10k miles. it will be $90'
me: 'ok'

4 hrs go by. they said 30 min at most. a-hole. i should have taken a loaner....

them:'ok, car done'
me:'finally! bye!'

go out, drive the car and it is pulling like a ****. no freaking way it is from the crowning of the road. dealer did nothing!!! take it back, they always have some stupid thing to say. favorite was when they told me my tires are the cause (worn on one side) when i just installed them 5 minutes ago from Joe's autoshop across the street.

so after 50k miles, i have bought 8 tires (every 20k i get new ones) because the dealer does nothing!!!!

btw, i beat the sh*t out of the loaner's tires and mbusa customer service is useless in resolving this matter.

my dealership (Smith Motors of Mass) is extremely fair. they have been nothing by honorable to this point - so i have no complaints. they are a smaller/ family run dealership.

So on friday i get my car back after work take a look at it and it doesnt look like it was washed, and im also guessing they didnt do any of the other stuff as well. Whatever though then today sunday at 8pm gonna go out and whats this... car wont start. Call up the road assistance guy comes out and jumpstarts my car and it works. Then I go out and meet up with some friends and as im leaveing the cafe we were hanging out at i hear some weird noise as im changeing gears to drive sounds pretty bad. So I guess ill go see wsup at the dealership again sigh.

On another note... Word on the street is the chassi on a 230k is the same as a neon.

You travel in some very uneducated circles, or your buds are trying to get under your skin... probably both.

I am not sure what street you are on, but that is not true, but all those folks out there in PT Cruisers are using Neon tooling!

Isn't it funny that for the 4 model years we got free maintenance, not once did they say we needed a service before 10K miles. Now that you have to pay for maintenance you have the dealers trying to enhance their service center profitability and a couple of gullible MB owners that would do anything for their cars.

BTW, it's fair to say that the C is really a Chrysler Neon as much is was to say that the Jaguar X-type was really a Ford, haha!

This is the second thread in which you have attempted to assert that the C-Class chassis and Neon are the same. I and others have stepped up to the plate to give you several reasons why they are not.

For your part, you have not lifted a finger to offer a credible argument otherwise... You just repeat some ridiculous street rumor, and demand that we prove it wrong. Well, that's not the way it works here. Time for YOU to prove your case, or be quiet on the issue. If you are not willing to do that, then my comment above stands.

And until you get some posts under your belt so that people start to take you seriously, show some respect to the members (and yes the mods) here. Second warning.

As for the neon post was just a rumor, I thought someone might have some hard evidence to disprove me if noone has anything O well you dont have to attack and act like you know everything like your the ****. Everyone knows something about cars you dont have to act like an *** about it. And again u mods rock.

To repeat, I have already said I regularly look under both cars (because I own both and work on both) and they are visually not the same layout, or physical configuration, or the same ride. Since that is not good enough for you, I suppose I could park the cars nose to tail, flip both onto their right side doors and take a picture for you. But that's not going to happen, as I have neither the time nor the inclination to do so. If you think I'm being an *** in asking you to believe my word, then I guess I'm an *** in your eyes, but not in others, I'm quite sure. OK?

BTW, I am not the only Mod to tell you to lighten up. Check last two posts in your other thread NEON and watch your tone, please.
