As for the SLK and CLK they are 2 doors so it is not as objectionable. The 2003 E-class is on the door.
The BMW 3 series sedan is a narrower platform than the C Class sedan. The rear seat is cramped, the roof line tapers more at the sides and there's less interior head room. I sat in a colleague's 330ci this morning, and noticed the foot well is slightly less than my coupe, even though she's missing a pedal. Don't get me wrong, it's a fine automobile, but tomorrow morning...I still drive a Mercedes Benz.
Ok...I've said my piece. Make your decision...and enjoy!
