where do i get push pins for the under-carriage? a couple missing around the car. pins from hardware store do not exactly match up correctly as does the MB OEM pins. so...

is there a part number?
price?

if nobody knows, i'll find out in 2 weeks when i go in for service, but i do not think they will cover it under warranty and claim instead 'wear and tear'.

i went into the service Bay at my dealership one day, and off to one side, they have the rapid-fix guys working on 2 - 3 cars at a time. Usually where they do the really simple stuff that people complain about, when it's not necessary to take the car over to the full service tech area.... anyway,
they've got drawers and drawers full of push pins, torx screws, nuts, bolts.
I was missing a few thingy-majiggys and my SA said to just go over and ask the guys for whatever I needed. I asked, and they just gave them to me.
Check with your SA first. They shouldn't charge you for peanuts like that !

What are these push pins keeping secure?

I'm assuming from "under-carriage" he's referring to the protective plastic cover that sits underneath the engine and behind the front bumper. There are plastic "push-pins" that hold the plastic cover in place.
