2006 C230 Sedan
About to do it

Ok guys the day of reckoning is fast approaching. I am going for an 06 C230. Would it be realistic to go in thinking i can score this car for invoice plus 3% minus the factory to dealer incentive? What do you guys think? If not what should I be shooting for? Much thanx.

Gone but not forgotten C36
Would the internet sales manager be the one to talk to? I really really want to get either the 05 or 06 C 230...and I'm still nervous about walking into a dealer today...(after looking at all your pics and hearing about $3000-$4000 off of retail. I'm hearing some 05 brand spanking new japanese cars MSRP at about $29,xxx selling for $23,xxx??!!, Is this possible on new 05 C classes???)

Yes. If it's costing them too much to keep it on the lot they will.

06 C230
06 c230

Any September incentives?-c230firstday006.jpg I bought an 06 C23 stick shift in the new silver color with graphite interior, 6disk changer, and the MB window tint for 34,950 walkout. I hope that was a good deal, I will be sick if I paid too much. I am located in Dallas Texas, and I got mine at Park Place Motorcars. I wanted the 06 because I felt the new V6 engine would make a big difference.

A 2006 C230 manual sedan w/ 6 cd changer? Are you sure you don't mean C350 or something? If you paid that much you basically paid MSRP. That can't be right..

Ouch! I'm sorry... I'd be so . I paid basically the same exact price for a C320 new last week (less than $200 more).

SoCal dealers offering $4'g or so off from MSRP of $34g+ on the 2005's....might be able to go lower, but I don't know.

They also said about $1500 off for the 2006's, but were not specific on the MSRP/model/added options

SoCal dealers will go invoice, less 3%, less rebate ($3500 on C320, $2500 on C230, etc) for '05s. I got several to agree to that before choosing who to deal with. That ended up being $7,610 savings for my C320!

On '06's I couldn't get anyone to go below $1,500 for this month. They said next month $2,500 off.

NP.. I even had one of the dealers going to give me that deal AFTER he traded for the car! That means they will even go lower than that if you push hard enough, and the dealers in SoCal have the inventory to do it too.

for '05s, $2500 or $3500 off 3% BELOW invoice.

For '06s, $1500 off MSRP. Not near as good of a deal. $2500 off next month which is at least something but IMO not worth buying an '06 when you can save ~7-9,000 on an '05. Depreciation of owning a benz alone is worse than which model year you have.
