Auto folding mirrors feature set
First I would like to thank Benzmodz for the help with this mod. In order to do this, you must have access to a DAS system with Developer Mode enabled of which I only know 4 people with this system and Steve is one of them. I am not sure if the old instrument clusters support this feature. I have the 211 cluster in my car so I know that works fine. I will try to plug in the old cluster to check and see if this works. Using developer Mode, the following modules have to be enabled for folding mirrors.
1. Both Door control Modules
2. Front SAM module
3. EIS
4. Instrument CLuster
The first 3 are common to all C class cars with memory seats. I am not sure on the last one though. We can enable the menu in the old clusters then that should be no problem. Mirrors fold when car is armed. They unfold when car is started or disarmed and waiting a few minutes.

I just had steve install them... apart from one of them which was defective (he's sending me a new one as we type) they're cool.. not sure why MB nixed them here (parking space size not withstanding). I think they're "cool" whether needed or not!

W203 slightly modified
Thanks Sunman,
I notice that my friends 2003 W203 coupe had all of the programming blocks for the door controllers and the instrument cluster (although the developer mode menus were not at all the same).
It seems that the software for the front SAM (fuse box) varies greatly. There are apparently at least 3 versions (maybe 5 going by part numbers).
I am going to start looking into the FLASH upgrades for the front sam modules in SD-FLASH to see if I can update the SAM modules without having to change them. If not then we will seriously consider changing the front SAM module since we also want to code the turning lamps as well (also not coding at this time).

do a search for the stationary heater as it has been explained earlier. As for coding the front SAM for turning lamps, I have done mine already and so has Mike on this forum but no luck. I am sure there must be another location where it has to be enabled. Might want to look into IC again or EIS. I don't think we can access the headlamp switch, can we?

some slow@$$diesels
The ICs in the W203 do support the power folding mirrors from 2003 and up if I am not mistaking...the pre 2003 ICs do not come with the mirror fold setting menu.
As for the passive cornering lights - my guess is that the reason it doesn't work is that some of the modules are set to 803 or 804 instead of 805...changing those settings to 805 should make the passive cornering lights work BUT will create some other CANBUS related malfunctions.
greetingz,
