I want to remove my subwoofer box from my car and in doing so i need to remove the rear seat, Unfortunately i don't have rear folding seat. I have remove the lower portion, it was easy. I then remove some bolt that attach to the upper portion, it's done and it came lose but i'm unable to remove it, something still hold on to it . Do you guys know what else is there that need to be remove?? Thanks in advance.

Remove the seat cushion. You seem to have done that. Now remove the screw holding the center seatbelt on the floor. (tighten this screw to 30 Nm when putting it back.) Remove two screws at the bottom of the backrest. These are toward the center. Remove two bolts on the extreme left and right side of the bottom of the backrest. Now the sercet....release the catch at the top of the backrest behind the headrests, through the trunk. Stick a screwdriver through the square hole.

Remove the headrest pneumatic connection. Use a 7mm open end wrench as a lever. The backrest should come right out.

Now my favorite line.......

Install in the reverse order.

Good Luck

There are two catches, one under each outboard headrest, through the bottom in the boot (trunk for Americans). Shine a decent torch in there and you will see how the thing releases through the square hole. There are some torsion springs in there, and you want to compress the lever so the catch lets go.
