Help with Aux cable
Hi I'm new tothe mbworld and was wondering if I can get help I have mercedes c220 2010 model and have no idea were the aux is I've looked in glove box and found what looks like an iPod dock and round grey turn thing with little hole in it. Is that aux input slot? 😕 As I tried it and the cable goes straight through 😕 any help be great thanks
For myself I was frustrated with MB too and al I wanted to add Bluetooth device for hand free operation with out any mic or anything show on dash board, with no luck on such thing except going to the dealer and spend about $1800.00 dollars components. After few google I found the add on Aux cable and ordered my cable for MY07 C280 from ECSTuning.com, the sale man asked for VIN numer to make sure he can get me the proper cable and fit to the year and model, again unfortunately there is no Aux cable pre installed from MB. More searching from the internet (can't remember where I found the post) the result was MB stopped install Aux audio cable on W203 manufacture after 09/2006 so you have to hard wire it into your audio head. Now assume that your radio is Audio 20 and I am new to the Mercedes I can only help you with what I have found all risks is on you, my son and I just have done this yesterday afternoon and like some had said it sounds alot better than Bluetooth device. Here are the installation and guide I will attach, please remember read carefully, do it on your own risk I am not liable for anything just try to help, I did it and it works.
Highly recommended that you print it out so you can have a hard copy to follow, dont forget to count the pin on the back of "C" block of the radio, we found out the upper pins are the left and right and lower pin is gound.
